Zinc Metal Pigment (Fine zinc powder) production facility of Umicore is located at Pasir Gudang on the southern tip of Malaysia, 30 km north of Singapore, near the important port facilities of Johor Bahru. The plant was commissioned in 1994. It processes secondary zinc utilising Lavrik distillation technology to produce fine zinc powder/ dust primarly for anti-corrosion paint markets in Asia and the Middle East. Annual capacity of the plant is 14,000 tonnes.
